Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman

For beach lovers, this northern-end of Seven Mile Beach is spectacular with its calm and clear water, white sand and beautiful sunsets. You can walk along the shore to Cemetery Beach, a favorite on the island and some of the best snorkeling on Grand Cayman. Although Clearwater House is located on the inland side of Boggy Sand Road, beach access is only 323 feet from the drive and literally takes only 3 minutes to walk from door to shore. Nearby attractions include the Cayman Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery (1.8 mi), snorkeling Cemetery Beach (0.6 mi), West Bay Beach (0.25 mi), Yacht Club Boat Ramp (2.0 mi), Ritz Carlton Blue-Tip Golf Course (3.7 mi), Safehaven Dock and Northsound Golf Course (3.8 mi) and a curious little town called Hell (1.8 mi).

More about the area

Dining on the Island is excellent. Our favorite restaurants on the Island include a couple that are within walking distance:

Alfresco: As the name suggests, this is our favorite al fresco dining a short walk from Clearwater House, tables fill the deck over West Bay Beach, the food and drinks are excellent and you can pull up a lounge chair and order a bucket of beer to enjoy on the beautiful beach below!

Heritage Kitchen: Even a closer walk than Alfresco, some of the most authentic fresh local seafood, get the catch of the day in a wrap or “Cayman Style” and enjoy several fresh juices squeezed daily while looking over the seawall at one of the finest views of the Caribbean anywhere on the island!

Other restaurants that we love that are a short drive away:

Macabuca Bar & Grill: A great beach bar with very good food that is part of a larger higher-end restaurant called Cracked Conch, you can dive right off of their deck.

Sunshine Grill: In the middle of Seven Mile Beach, excellent fish tacos!

Eats Cafe: Serves a very good breakfast

Other favorites include: Copper Falls Steakhouse, Calypso Grill, Morgan’s Seafood, Catch, The Burger Shack and Duke’s Seafood and Rib Shack.

Tukka: On the East End of the Island, but their Lion Fish tacos and Sunday Brunch are worth the drive! You can also feed the Frigate Birds which are quite a site.

And we hit Lone Star Bar & Grill during football season, tons of TVs, relatively cheap buckets of beer and Rock & Roll Bingo on Thursday nights

We are very close to a Foster’s Grocery Store, a 24-hour Subway Sandwich shop and a full-service pharmacy.

We could go on and on – please ask and we will provide you more information on restaurants and activities.
